Manifesting - Following the path of least resistance

You are (a) well being. Beneath every dream lies the desire to feel good. Somehow you and I think that when we accomplish or have X, we will feel good. So, when we want to attract our dreams, we are actually sending out a desire to feel good. For convenience I call this wellbeing. That is why you cannot suffer your way into your dream life, because suffering has a different frequency than wellbeing. The mathematical formula "two negatives make one positive" may work in maths class, but it does not apply to our emotions. And yet I find human beings doing this all the time. Thinking that working hard to the extent of suffering will one day bring happiness. But it can and will never create wellbeing. And we do not need to prove our worth, especially not by suffering. Since you are interested in these mailings, I guess you probably already know this on a mental level because you are an amazingly wise and aware being who knows a thing or two about energy, frequency and life itself. However, I catch others (and myself) making this process of leaning into the positive unnecessarily difficult and we aren’t even aware of it. Here’s the thing: the Law of Attraction is ever present. So when you are in a vibration of resistance, there is a big gap between where you are (negative emotion) and where you want to be (wellbeing). When you can let go of this resistance, great! But sometimes this gap is so big that it just seems impossible. Being the conscious people we are, we end up resisting the resistance. By now, I have collected enough evidence to confidently claim that resisting resistance never works, and I am sure you have too. It will actually create more of it. Our dominant emotions will create more of it, this is a law. Deep down, all human beings know this. That is why we are designed to always find the path of least resistance, at least that is my experience with our species. I believe this is not a negative thing or some lazy behaviour. On the contrary, when we are aware of this, we can use this to create more flow in our lives. You just need to know how to work with it, rather than against it. Step 1 is realising how powerful choosing the path of least resistance is. Step 2 is daring to break free from the collective idea that you have to work hard for your happiness. Step 3 is leaning on the good and seeing your desires come into manifestation. Sure, it is wonderful to be able to shift negative emotions and know how to release resistance. Practising meditation is a great way to train this skill. However, there is this side note I would like you to consider. Imagine this situation where you suffer tremendously from pain in the body after an accident and you have two options, one being much easier and quicker than the other. For example, you can be given morphine right away or get access to a 10-week course to mentally overcome the pain. In that given moment any suffering being would choose the first option because we are naturally resistant to pain and all our attention goes there. No sane person would choose the hard way. However, on more subtle levels this happens a lot. Especially in the spiritual scene. It’s quite insane. I want to emphasise here that I really believe in training the mind to enhance our ability to let go of resistance. Such a skill is unimaginably powerful, especially when we find ourselves in a situation we cannot escape. But let’s not push our limits here. When we CAN escape, we should do it. As some of you may know, I attended this 12-day silent retreat in the south of France. Well, I lasted 3 days. And then I had an epiphany. It was like waking up from a deep spiritual hypnosis. 'Why would we deliberately put ourselves in such an agonising situation?', I thought to myself. For life itself is already the greatest teacher, the playground, the Guru. I observed us as a group. All looking for something, wanting to transcend reality. Isolating ourselves from life to learn to be ok with nothing. I felt this depressing energy in and around me which was even reflected by the food (which is literally energy, and it was looooow). The more I thought about how ridiculous it was, the harder it became for me to surrender. Given all that quietness around me, I could spend my time well by thinking. It resulted in a nice intimate rendezvous with my own mind. As I was analysing, I could identify this internal shift during this adventure. Before the retreat, I was actually quite happy but as the days passed, I felt increasingly uncomfortable. So then I had a choice, meditate the shit out of it, struggling like a seed in dark soil, desperate for some light (suffering). Or to change the circumstances, which was leaving asap (wellbeing). This was my path of least resistance. This choice made me realise something right away, wellbeing is always available to us and there’s really no need to search for it. Because we ARE well-being. We do not need to meditate or attend a retreat. Yes, it may be useful, it may have worked for many, but this does not mean that this is THE way in any given moment or circumstance. Instead, we should use our intuition and feel whether what we are doing creates more or less wellbeing. It's as simple as that. I have realised other things that I would like to share with you:

  • Beneath every desire / dream / action lies the desire to feel good

  • We are 100% responsible for our own wellbeing

  • We cannot force ourselves into peace

  • We always have a choice

  • We are not here to trancend reality - we are here to create it

  • Following the path of least resistance leads to wellbeing

  • Trying to shift internally isn't necessary the path of least resistance

  • Resilience is being able to shift internally, wisdom lies in knowing when you can't

  • Wanting to solve everything internally can be a protection mechanism / spiritual bypass to avoid conflict, failure and life itself

  • Trying to tackle challenges internally at all costs is a source of internal friction

  • What this path of least resistance is, is highly subjective and different for everyone

  • There is no gain in proving how well we can suffer

  • We don't need to earn happiness - it is our birthright and our natural state of being

  • Life itself is a loving teacher and generous in its lessons, we don't need more

  • Wisdom cannot be adopted from another - it lies in the truth of our own heart

Finally, your relationship with spirituality should never become a reason to justify a harmful situation (a toxic relationship, a terror boss, an agreement you once made, the values of your community). Yes, life is a great teacher but it is a loving one. You do not need to suffer in order to earn happiness or to learn. You may experience suffering during this life, but if in this process you have the choice to choose freedom, love, ease, lightness, aka your well being, please do so. Neither you nor the collective benefit from your suffering. True wisdom lies in knowing that Heaven is a place on Earth and that the key to entering it lies in your well-being. Joy is a condition to attract your dream life, not a result. Follow the joy and your dream life will appear.
