The timing of inner processes

Time is a funny thing. We grow up believing we live in a world of only matter. We learn that we have to take action in a material sense to achieve something tangible.

Yet life works in mysterious ways.

Ever made an internal decision and noticed how your external world was already shifting and moving? We live in a vibrational world and it responds to our vibration. So even the things we only ‘do’ mentally, the things that take place in the intimate arena of our own body, mind and spirit, send signals into our quantum field. This vast field of energy makes no distinction between what is 'real' and what is not. And it acts always and immediately.

Everything is ‘real’, you see. A dream, image or thought is as real as what we would call reality in our world of matter. The world of matter simply mirrors back to us what is in our internal / vibrational field.

So every decision has a consequence whether we are aware of that consequence or not. In our humanness we do not always know where we say ‘yes’ to, but the divine part in us always knows. It holds the vision, pointing tirelessly and lovingly to our True North.

While all decisions have consequences, some people or choices have something special about them. You can simply feel the energetic charge that some choices, situations or people awaken in you. Many of my clients say that the process of working with me began much earlier than our first session. This is because there is already a connection at soul level, something the mind can never foresee in advance.

For me, this proves that we have little control over our lives, even if our minds say otherwise. Life itself is the greatest initiation in all our lessons here on earth. We do not need to be fixed, healed or cured. And our essence, happiness or greatness cannot be found externally, nor through hard work.

The power of remembrance

Oftentimes, what we need is to simply be reminded. Interacting with other people is like looking into a mirror, reflecting our own power, our own essence. I am not saying we should not seek help in this process of remembering, but if you pay close attention, you will see that life is constantly trying to remind you. Let me tell a personal story to demonstrate this.

I was invited to the baby blessing of my dear friend Annemijn. Our connection is a special one. It has something karmic (in the best possible way) and our connection runs deep, even if our human self is not aware of it.

As I did not organise the surprise, I did not consciously know what we would be doing. But my soul knew. A day before the event my whole being was restless. There was emotion as well as resistance and I did not understand just yet where the feeling was coming from. I felt detached, critical of every inch of my body and mind. As I was lying in bed, I finally made space for what there was to feel and it hit me HARD. The emotion came in a huge wave. I was kind of surprised by its intensity, but I decided to ride the wave anyway.

I cried and sobbed, feeling this intense mix of emotions: grief, pain, loss, relief but mostly love. I put on some beautiful music and noticed the calmness re-enter my body and mind – I finally reconnected with my heart and fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, when I saw my friend entering the room, glowing and radiant, it made sense: she had been the key to my heart. There was so much love and my soul knew already a day before.

I had lost connection with my heart and a higher part of me wanted to restore it, so it used this experience to help me. Life tried to lead me back to the awareness of love and I got the hint.

If you enjoy the experience of attending ceremonies & workshops, be my guest. But we don't need ceremonies to 'open' our hearts. I felt my heart connection the day before without even knowing what we were going to do. Life is one big ceremony and our hearts are always open, but sometimes we just forget. And in these moments, life will help us remember.
